Refunds and returns

How a return would work, who pays for what, and the two cases where the right to change your mind does not apply.
01
The 14-day window
A consumer may withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. The period starts on the day physical goods are received. For an order delivered in several parts, it starts on the day the last part arrives.
02
The two exceptions
Digital products are delivered immediately, and delivery cannot be undone. Where the buyer expressly consented to that immediate delivery and acknowledged losing the right of withdrawal, the 14-day right does not apply to that item.
Sealed cosmetic products that have been unsealed cannot be returned for hygiene reasons. An unopened item in its original seal can.
Both exceptions affect only the items concerned. Anything else in the same order is unaffected.
03
How to start a return
Email support@meridian.example with the order reference from your receipt. No form and no reason are required. Instructions come back within one working day, and goods should be sent back within 14 days of telling us.

Who pays, and when the money arrives
- Faulty, damaged or not as described — the seller pays return postage and provides a prepaid label.
- Simply changed your mind — the buyer pays return postage.
- Wrong item sent — the seller pays, and the correct item is sent at no extra charge.
- A refund is issued within 14 days of the goods being received back, or of proof of postage, whichever is earlier.
- It goes to the original payment method. Card refunds usually appear within 5–10 working days. The original standard delivery charge is refunded; the extra cost of an express service is not.
