Terms of sale

Demo notice. This is a portfolio demonstration. The company, products, prices and certifications below are fictional, and no real transactions take place. This text is a structural placeholder and is not legal advice.

The terms that would govern a sale between the seller and a buyer through this site.

01

The parties

The seller is MERIDIAN Demo SIA, Riga, Latvia, registration number LV40000000000, VAT number LV40000000000. The buyer is the person placing the order.

Some products are marked professional use only. By ordering those, a buyer confirms they are a qualified cosmetologist or a clinic. Nothing on this site is a medical device or a medicine.

02

How an order is formed

Adding something to the cart is not an order. The contract is formed when payment is confirmed and the order confirmation email is sent — not when the checkout page is submitted.

If an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price, the seller may decline the order and refund in full rather than fulfil it.

03

Prices and VAT

Prices are shown excluding VAT. VAT is calculated at checkout at the rate of the buyer’s country and shown as a separate line before payment is taken, and again on the receipt.

For digital products sold to consumers in the EU, VAT is charged at the rate of the consumer’s member state. For physical goods, VAT follows the delivery address.

Clinics and salons buying at wholesale are quoted separately and are not covered by the prices shown here.

04

Delivery

  • Digital products are delivered by email immediately on payment, to the address given at checkout.
  • Physical goods are dispatched within two working days and delivered in 3–5 working days on the standard service, or 1–2 on express.
  • Risk in physical goods passes to the buyer on delivery, not on dispatch.
  • Where a delivery estimate is exceeded by more than 30 days, the buyer may cancel and receive a full refund.

05

Right of withdrawal

A consumer in the EU may withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. For physical goods the period runs from the day the goods are received.

The digital goods exception: where the buyer expressly consents to immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledges that doing so loses the right of withdrawal, that right does not apply once delivery has begun. This consent is asked for explicitly at checkout and is never pre-ticked.

Cosmetic products that are sealed for health protection reasons and have been unsealed after delivery cannot be returned. This is a statutory exception, not a shop policy.

06

Liability and governing law

Liability is not excluded for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for it.

Products marked professional use only must be used according to their protocol. The seller is not liable for outcomes arising from use outside it.

These terms are governed by Latvian law. A consumer keeps the protection of the mandatory rules of the country in which they are habitually resident, and may bring proceedings there.
